Does Hair Grow Back Thicker

Reality
Absolutely not. Dermaplaning removes fine vellus hair, which does not have the same structure as terminal hair. It grows back with the same texture and color as before.
The Scientific Explanation
Dermaplaning cuts the hair at an angle (not at the root), which does not stimulate the follicle to produce thicker or darker hair. Facial vellus hair is very fine and translucent, unlike terminal hair (such as a beard), which is thicker and pigmented.
